The most promising effort underway in Los Angeles today is the transformation of the Los Angeles River into a continuous 51-mile recreational greenway. Egret Park provides a small but significant community enhancement alongside the Los Angeles River in the Elysian Valley. The park features a viewpoint, native plantings, and interpretive displays as well as access to the Los Angeles River Bike Path.
