Elegant King Gillette Ranch in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains, Historic Mentryville in Santa Clarita and Sage Ranch in the Simi Hills are two of many parks well suited for company picnics and other large scale outdoor events. Franklin Canyon Park in Beverly Hills, Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades, Ed Davis Park at Towsley Canyon in Santa Clarita offer both indoor and outdoor venues for special events of all kinds. The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens in Los Angeles has a series of courtyards with splashing fountains and several lovely indoor spaces to accommodate almost any large special function. Upper Las Virgenes Open Space Preserve (formerly Ahmanson Ranch) in Calabasas has spreading lawns surrounding a ranch house that can be used for anything from formal banquets to relaxed company picnics.
